Agreement

These terms apply to your use of Nertz! at https://nertz.app, operated by Sthetic Creative Group, LLC. By playing you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy (https://nertz.app/privacy). If you do not agree, please do not use the game.

Who can play

You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland a player under 16 needs a parent or guardian's approval for the optional features that rely on consent (analytics, game emails and the AI helpers); until that approval arrives those features stay off, as the Privacy Policy explains.

Your account

• Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Display names must not impersonate others or be offensive. We may change or remove names and leaderboard entries that break these terms.
• You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account.

Fair play

• Do not cheat, tamper with scores, automate play, or try to access other players' cards, accounts or data.
• Do not disrupt rooms, overload the service, or attempt to bypass its security.
• We may reset scores or suspend accounts involved in abuse.

Player conduct: zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour in Nertz!. A display name is the only thing other players ever see, so it must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening, or impersonate Nertz! or its staff.

• Display names are filtered automatically before a table shows them, and names or leaderboard entries that break these rules are removed.
• You can block any display name at a table: it is then hidden from you everywhere, and you can undo that in Settings.
• You can report a player from the table, from Settings, or from the help centre. A person reads every report, and we aim to review reports of abuse within 24 hours.
• Accounts used for abuse, harassment or objectionable names are suspended or removed, and their scores go with them.

The game

Nertz! is free to play, for entertainment, and involves no real-money wagering or prizes. There are currently no purchases; if optional paid features are added, their price and terms will be shown before you buy. Leaderboard positions have no cash value. We may change, pause or discontinue features at any time.

Third-party services

Signing in with Google or Apple is also subject to Google's or Apple's own terms. We are not responsible for services we do not control.

Ownership

The Nertz! name, logo, design and software belong to the operator. Pounce (also known as Nertz or Nerts) is a traditional card game; these terms do not claim ownership of its rules.

Disclaimer and liability

The game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, or interruptions arising from your use of the game.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page; continuing to play after that means you accept the updated terms.
