Official communications

The whole notice, in one line: we only ever email from an @nertz.app address, and we never ask for a password, a code or money.

Last updated October 5, 2026

Where our messages come from

  • Account emails: the sign-up code when you register, and the password reset link when you ask for one. Sent only when you ask, always from an @nertz.app address.
  • Game emails: the weekly winners note, and a table invite when a signed-in player opens a table and you have not played in the last hour. You can stop these at any time.
  • Support replies: when you open a ticket, sent from support@nertz.app in the thread you started. A copy also appears under My tickets when you are signed in.
  • Nothing else. There is no marketing list, no newsletter, no advertising email and no partner offer.

We will never ask you for

  • Your password, a sign-in code, or a password reset code. A code is only ever typed into the game itself.
  • Card details, a bank transfer, gift cards, cryptocurrency or any other payment. We never ask for payment by email, chat or message.
  • Remote access to your device, or a phone call to verify your account.
  • A move to another app, another website or a direct message to continue.
  • A screenshot of your sign-in details, or your Google account password.

How to check a message

  1. 1Look at the full sender address, not just the display name. It should end in @nertz.app.
  2. 2Hover over a link (press and hold on a phone) and check the address really starts with https://nertz.app.
  3. 3Treat urgency, spelling mistakes, and any request for money or a code as a warning sign.
  4. 4If you are unsure, do not click anything. Open nertz.app yourself, check the notification bell, or write to us from the help centre.

If you replied to a fake message

  1. 1Reset your Nertz! password, and the password on your email account if you typed it anywhere.
  2. 2If you signed in with Google, review the apps with access to your account at myaccount.google.com and remove anything you do not recognise.
  3. 3Send us a ticket under "Safety, abuse & cheating" and tell us what happened, so we can watch the account.
  4. 4If money was involved, contact your bank or card provider straight away. We cannot recover a payment made to somebody else.

Where to report it

Send the message (or a screenshot of it) to support@nertz.app, or open a ticket and choose "Safety, abuse & cheating" then "A suspicious message claiming to be Nertz". Forwarded headers help us trace it.
