Fix sign-in problems

Account & sign-in 2 min readLast updated October 3, 2026

What to check when you cannot sign in to Nertz!, including forgotten passwords, Google sign-in problems and signed-out sessions.

Before you start

  • If you signed up with Google, there is no Nertz! password to reset. Use the Google button instead.
  • Never send your password in a support ticket. We will never ask for it.

Start with the right door

  1. 1If you created your account with an email and password, use the email sign-in form.
  2. 2If you created it with Google, use the Google button. Using the password form on a Google account will not work.
  3. 3Not sure which you used? Try the Google button first, then a password reset with the same address.

Forgotten password

  1. 1Open the sign-in screen and tap "Forgot password".
  2. 2Type the email address of your account and send the request.
  3. 3Open the reset email and follow the link. It opens a page where you type a new password twice.
  4. 4Sign in with the new password.

Good to know

For safety we always show the same confirmation, whether or not an account exists for the address, so one email per account is the rule. If nothing arrives, check spam and try again with the exact address you registered.

You got signed out on your own

Signing in again restores everything: your stats, tickets and notifications are attached to the account, not the device.

  • A session ends when you sign out, when you clear your browser storage, or after a long period away from the game.
  • Private or incognito windows forget the session when you close them.
  • A browser setting that blocks storage for nertz.app, or an aggressive privacy extension, can end a session early.

Google sign-in does not finish

  1. 1Allow pop-ups and third party cookies for nertz.app.
  2. 2If the sign-in window opened inside another app (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), open the game in your real browser instead.
  3. 3Sign out of Google and back in, then retry.
  4. 4Check that cookies are not blocked for accounts.google.com.

Common problems

Common problems

It says the account does not exist.

The address is either spelled differently from the one you registered, or the account was created with Google instead. Try a password reset for the address, and try the Google button.

I am signed in but my scores are missing.

You may be signed in to a second account (for example a Google account rather than the email one). Check the name on the stats page, then sign in with the other method.

The reset link says it has expired.

Reset links are single use and time limited. Request a fresh one and use the newest email.
