Accessibility

The game should be playable by everybody who wants a noisy card race. Here is what already works, and how to tell us where it does not.

What the game supports today

  • Keyboard: every control can be reached with the Tab key and shows a visible focus ring, and dialogs such as "How to play" and the help assistant close with the Escape key.
  • Screen readers: icon buttons carry text labels, for example "Notifications", "Turn hints on", "Mute sound" and "Leave", and the help centre uses headings and lists as real headings and lists.
  • Motion: the game respects your device's reduce motion setting, which stops the repeating hint animation and keeps movement to a minimum.
  • Sound: it is entirely optional and can be muted from the table, and every sound has a visual equivalent on the table.
  • Low vision: cards worth 5 points carry a gold 5 in the corner rather than relying on colour, suits show their symbol, hints glow the cards you can play, and the layout reflows so browser zoom and larger text sizes work.
  • Small screens: the table, the stats pages and the help centre are all built to work on a phone as well as a desktop, with no hover-only interactions.

What we do not claim

We do not claim full conformance with a formal standard yet. We fix what people report, we improve the parts that are used most, and we would rather be honest about that than publish a badge. Reports from players are what move this forward.

Report a barrier

  1. 1Open the ticket form and choose "Accessibility".
  2. 2Describe what you were trying to do and where it broke down.
  3. 3Tell us the assistive technology you use: screen reader and version, keyboard only, voice control or screen magnifier.
  4. 4Tell us the device and browser, since both change the answer.
  5. 5Attach a screenshot if a visual problem is involved.

You get a reference number, and we reply with what we can change and when. These reports are read as product work, not as support noise.

Feedback we have already acted on

  • Icon-only buttons across the table, the notification bell and the help centre all carry spoken labels.
  • The repeating hint glow stops when reduce motion is switched on.
  • Card values are marked with a gold 5, so a face card never depends on colour alone.
